Places for recreation

The areas surrounding the City of Sofia are rich in wonderful places for recreation, and cultural and historical sites.

Due to its closeness, Vitosha Mountain provides many easily accessible places for summer and winter tourism and recreation.

'Urban Mobility Centre' EOOD offers convenient and quick connections via its buses. You can find detailed information on  transport  services in this website under Route Network. 

Departure points for tourism to Vitosha are the following districts:

• Dragalevtsi – buses No. 64, 66, 93 and 98 with Hladilnika as the first bus stop. 
   
• Simeonovo – bus No. 67 from the Seminary and No. 98 from Hladilinka.
   
• Village of Bistritsa – buses No. 68, 69 and 70 from Darvenitsa Quarter and No. 98 from Hladilnika.
   
• Boyana – buses No. 64 with Hladilnika and Hygiene Centre as the first bus stops No. 63 from Tsar Boris III Blvd.
  
  Another means of transport in the mountain is provided by 'Vitosha Ski' EAD.
