Pilot project for voice information at the stop’s electronic panel

The project aims to improve the accessibility of the services of mass urban transport to people with visual impairments, specifically by broadcasting voice information upon the arrival of a vehicle at a given stop. The goal of the project is to have installed an active electronic stop panel on a designated stop. The broadcast voice information is generated by the local panel and essentially reproduces the information indicated on the panel: number of service that stops there, expected time until arrival of the vehicle at the stop. This voice information is generated on the basis of cyclically received GPS information (every 30 sec) on the movements of specific vehicles.
