Why it is necessary validate a smartcard credited with a period of time?

 

Upon each validation, you will see the credited validity period or the remaining trips on the validator’s screen. In this way you will know how long your card is valid for.

  • Upon occurrence of an insured event, the validation will certify the presence of the holder of the relevant card in the vehicle on the relevant date and time.
     
  • In case of a complaint the validation will certify the presence of the person in the relevant vehicle, the type of validation/fare collection and the card content at that time.
     
  • Validation/fare collection data will be processed by the system and the analyses of them will be used by the Urban Mobility Centre EOOD to improve the service provided.
