History

This Certificate No. 20090429121801/29.04.2009, issued by the Registry Agency, hereby certifies that one of the managers of Urban Mobility Centre EOOD has been replaced and that this change has been duly entered in the Trade Register. Managers are eng. Nikolay Kostov and eng. Marchelo Dokovski.

This Certificate № 20090202090802/02.02.2009, issued by the Registry Agency, hereby certifies that a new company under the name of Urban Mobility Centre EOOD has been entered in the Trade Register. The company was created by two municipal companies – Sofia Urban Transport Company EOOD and Parkings and Garages EAD by means of a merger between Parkings and Garages EAD and SKGT EOOD.

Urban Mobility Centre EOOD is the new name of SKGT – Sofia EOOD, with its head office located in Sofia, 84 Knyaginya Maria Luiza Blvd.

During the period of company development, including the period from 01.01.1901 to 01.09.1916 during which time it was operated by an anonymous Belgian corporation, the management was entrusted to a director nominated by the General Meeting of the company. The first manager was Bulgarian – Yuriy Ilkov, He managed the company until 01.02.1903.

On 01.09.1916 the Municipality of Sofia instituted a procedure of expropriation of the company from the Belgian anonymous corporation and established a Department of Trams and Lighting, the director of which was Eng. Tsvetan Boyadzhiev.

In 1948 was incorporated the Sofia Urban Passenger Transport Company whose business was the operation of trams, trolleybuses and buses.

Until 1998 the urban transport company changed its name several times, and on 02.06.1998 was incorporated the SGKT Holding EAD company with five subsidiaries.

In the next years the subsidiaries were transformed into joint-stock companies, in which the Capital Company had 34% of shares and the Municipality of Sofia had 66%.

On 14.12.2002 SGKT Holding EAD was transformed into a Single Member Limited Liability Company that held municipal property under the name of Capital Company for Urban Transport – Sofia EOOD. A department was separated from the company and incorporated as International Transport and Tourism – Sofia EOOD.

The new name of Parkings and Garages EAD is Urban Mobility Centre EOOD – Parking and Mobility Department, and the address of its head office is Sofia, 17 Budapeshta St.

The municipal company Parkings and Garages EAD was established by Resolution № 1 of the Sofia City Court on 10.05.1989 with a scope of business: investment, construction, operation and maintenance of the car parks in Sofia, and letting of garages. On the 02.10.1995 by resolution № 5 of Sofia Municipal Council was carried out a transformation of the municipal company Parkings and Garages EAD into a Single Member Limited Liability Company of the same name and scope of business: investment, construction, operation and maintenance of car parks, garages and parking places, activities related to the provision of the parking service and other activities not prohibited by law. The company absorbed all assets and liabilities of the municipal company.

On 17.12.1999 by Resolution № 6 the single member limited liability company Car Parks and Garages, which held municipal property, was transformed into a single member joint stock company (EAD), which had the same scope of business and held municipal property. The company absorbed the assets and liabilities of Car Parks and Garages up to 1998.

By Resolution № 14 from 27.09.2005, the management of the company was changed. Nikolai Alexandrov was appointed as a member of the Board of Directors and later became Executive Director.

By Resolution № 15 of the Sofia Municipal Council, on 03.11.2006 the capital of the company became 280,768 BGN - divided into 28,077 registered shares of par value of 10 BGN each.
